Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) is a rare, genetic, connective tissue disorder affecting 1 out of 20,000 babies born in the US each year. It is the worst disease you’ve never heard of. EB victims have extremely fragile skin that blisters and tears from minor friction or trauma. This affects the outer skin, internal organs and body systems. EB is painful and in some cases fatal before the age of 30. There is no treatment and no cure for EB. Daily wound care, pain management and protective bandaging are the only options for the individuals who are suffering from this disease.
