Rebecca Yount's EB Bandage Bag Fundraiser
Sponsor a bandage bag for a new EB family!
Hello all and welcome to this page! My name is Rebecca Yount, and a mere 3 years ago I had never heard of EB. And then it touched my life. A few weeks after my youngest grandchild, Axl, was born to my son Ben and his wife Christie, Axl was diagnosed with EB. And "the worst disease you've never heard of" became part of our lives.
I was overwhelmed with the arsenal of supplies necessary for Axl's wound care. I was so touched by the actual treating and dressing of those wounds, done with care, and love, and hope, by Christie. It was through Ben and Christie that I became aware of debra and the vital work they do. Those wound care supplies had been provided by debra, and I realized that debra is an essential link for EB families.
How could I help? I am one person with limited resources. And then, a few months ago I became a consultant for Thirty-One Gifts, a company that sells a huge variety of bags and totes. And something "clicked."
I envisioned a fundraiser where donors could contribute to debra for the purchase of a bag to be filled by debra with wound care supplies for EB families. I, in turn, will contribute 100% of my commission from the sale of these bags to debra.
I am thrilled to partner with debra on this project! Will you consider sponsoring a bag? This bag will be embroidered with a butterfly and "debra.org" in honor of the "butterfly children" we aim to help.
The cost of the bag plus embroidery and shipping is $48.60. Debra will provide you with charitable donation documentation.
No gift is too small! If you feel moved to sponsor a bag or multiple bags, thank you!
If you can donate a different amount, please know that all gifts to this project will go to purchase bags, and all of my commission will be donated to debra. Because approximately 200 babies with EB are born each year in the US, my goal is to donate 200 bags.
Thank you, and bless you!!!
"Because the cost of doing nothing is too great."
